Thank you ACSOL for posting Derek Logue’s testimony. Derek had entrusted me to make sure it got to the 8 Senators of the Judiciary Committee of the Nebraska Legislature. And this I did last Friday at their public testimony session.
I am glad that ACSOL is making itself into a National organization, and by posting such out of State news like this it reassures me of such intent.
Derek’s presentation here covers a major weakness of eliminating the age old concept of legal fairness called Statutes of Limitation: The dangers of remembering things accurately over a long time. Please take a look at it, because there is currently an organized effort in many States to eliminate the civil aspects of these Statutes.
